01 · What it is

Stop describing your screen.

Every support chat starts with you typing out what you are looking at. Jarvis is already looking at it. You talk; it answers out loud, and you can cut it off mid-sentence like a person.

It sits above everything
A small sphere in the corner, over every window and on every desktop, out of the way until you want it. One press opens the microphone; a second one hangs up.

You ask in your own words
“Why is this failing?” “What do I press here?” “Where do I get the key on this site?” It answers in a breath — “let me look” — while the real answer is still being worked out.

It looks once, and only then
A question about the screen takes one picture of the window in front of you. A question that does not need the screen never takes one, and nothing is ever recorded. What it sees →

The settings pane you are lost in, the error that will not go away, the invoice, the terminal, the page you are reading. It reads the words and the buttons that are really on your screen, and answers about those — not about how the thing works in general.

Out loud, and interruptible

You speak; it answers out loud. The first words come back in a breath, while the rest is still being worked out, and you can cut it off mid-sentence and ask something else. English and Russian, in a voice you choose.

02 · Install

Three steps, about two minutes.

From this page to talking to it: download, allow the microphone and the screen, press the sphere. Its voice, its language and what it is allowed to look at are all set inside the app itself.

Download and drag it across
Open the file you downloaded and drag Jarvis into Applications. It opens straight away — no warnings to click through.

Jarvis explains each one, in its own words, before macOS asks — including the part macOS does not say: it takes one picture per question and never records. Refuse either and it tells you what still works and how to change your mind.

Press the sphere and talk
On the first run it asks you to connect a free account — one press, and it collects the key itself; you never copy anything by hand. Then say what you are stuck on.

You install Jarvis once. After that it keeps itself up to date on its own — and there is a check by hand in its settings if you would rather.
